Student Leadership Council

 

The CEMS student council is a democratically elected student body that works to create and a positive and conducive environment for every student in the school. 

 

The student council sets missions with clear cut goals and works in tandem with a teacher coordinator who guides them throughout the way. The structure of the council is such that every rung of the ladder is dependent on the ones below it. This makes sure that every member of the student council is actively involved in decision making.

 

Being a part of the student council is the perfect way for a child to develop their leadership skills and learn how to communicate effectively. Every student is encouraged to step up and nominate themselves for a post without any restrictions, whether academic or otherwise.

Environment Science (EVS)

At CEMS, not only do we nurture bright young individuals and turn them into responsible citizens but we also focus on teaching them how to build a sustainable tomorrow.

Educating our students about green energy and reducing our environmental footprint has been an active endeavour. 

 

Right from standard 1 to 10, CS encourages green initiatives and educates students about using resources in a sustainable way.

Taking this up a notch, we urge parents that are subject matter experts in the field to collaborate with our student body and pass on valuable knowledge that one can only hope to achieve through practical experience.

Sports & Recreation

Apart from popular outdoor sports, We also have a fully-equipped indoor sports facility for Chess, Table Tennis, Aerobics, and Yoga.

 

CEMS employs a team of experienced and highly qualified instructors to overlook all the sports activities on campus. Our coaches teach students everything about the different sports and inculcate a spirit of hard work, respect, and sportsmanship in the process. 

 

Students at CEMS are encouraged to compete in various intra and inter-school tournaments. They have also made their presence felt at the state and national level.

Debate Club

CEMS debate club helps our students engage with an audience by letting them speak on a topic that interests them. Addressing a mixed gathering of parents and students teaches them how to tackle criticism and gives them an insight on how knowledge is passed. 

 

Debating is an exercise that encourages students to research, understand new concepts, and express their opinions confidently.

 

Apart from the skills mentioned above, it provides students with a platform for healthy discussion. The biggest advantage that students get from the debate club here is being a part of an environment that allows them to express themselves freely and without restraint.

Spelling Bee

A spelling bee is a competition in which contestants are asked to spell a broad selection of words, usually with a varying degree of difficulty. The concept is thought to have originated in the United States, and spelling bee events, along with variants, are now also held in some other countries around the world
